Christ has come.
Christ is coming.
And we live somewhere in between.
Come, Lord Jesus! we earnestly cry.
As a babe, I came, is His reply.

Right here, right now, all is calm, all is bright! Even without snow.
Blessed Christmas, everyone.
We had snow for a day! Today it is gone.
I forgot how the first snow of the year is still magical for the littles. They are still enchanted by the footprints their boots make behind them; how it crunches beneath our feet as we walk. They MUST taste it, of course, and I pretend not to notice. I could admonish them – probably should – but I recall that there was a time that I too, succumbed to that particular temptation.
And then, poof! Gone. It all melted away in last night’s rain. Not that I’m complaining, ha! It sounds like we won’t have any more of the white stuff for at least the next couple of weeks, so I’m glad that the boys and I got the chance to get out in it while it was around.
